Dear Camp Evergreen Families,

Many people have been inquiring about adding weeks this summer due to changes in their summer plans. In light of this, we want to let you know about our “Phased In” approach to opening camp this summer. For the first two weeks of camp we will limit the number of campers per group to 7. This will allow us to maintain social distancing and assess our camp operations under our COVID-19 plan.

If everything goes well, in the next two weeks, we will increase the number of campers to 10 per group. All of our our existing safety protocols will remain in place. We hope to enter Phase 3 of the Massachusetts Reopening Plan by the second half of the summer. We will continue to monitor the situation and, if possible, expand our program in accordance with state and local guidelines.

You can add weeks at any time directly from our registration portal. However, if the group is already full, you will automatically be given the choice to wait list. We are monitoring the wait list and will be in contact with you about your options. Priority will be given to campers who have already been attending camp for multiple sessions. If you are already signed up for camp this summer, you are in.

The situation with COVID-19 is very fluid. We want to be flexible with our plan in order to keep people safe and to ensure a quality camp experience for the children under our care.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about our availability, please contact the office.

Dear Members of the Camp Evergreen Family,

We hope that you are safe, healthy, and keeping your spirits up during these challenging times.

The start of camp is still a couple of months away and many parents are trying to make summer child care arrangements. We want to re assure you that the safety and well being of our community is our highest priority. We are working with our Board of Health to come up with additional safety measures to protect our campers, families, and staff from potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

We know Evergreen is a vital part of your camper’s childcare this summer. We want you to know that we are doing everything in our power to stay open for the season. We think camp is the perfect antidote to these past few months of confinement. Children need space to play and fresh air to breath and parents need time to attend to their needs. We are confident that camp will open this summer in some form. We are forging ahead with our planning and coming up with solutions to allow us to operate as safely as we can.

At this time we are continuing to accept registrations for the summer season. For our families who are currently registered, we will work with your schedule if your summer plans have changed because of the pandemic. We are trying to be to be flexible with our registration options. In addition, we are looking into the possibility of adding additional weeks to camp. For example, if there is a delay in the school openings because of COVID 19 we will try to fill the gap in childcare with additional programming.

Although it is too early for us to make any definitive decisions about cancellation due to COVID-19, we wanted to let you know about our refund policy. If the virus is not contained or seems to be getting worse, and camp is not allowed to open, Camp Evergreen reserves the right to cancel summer programming. If this happens, your deposit will be credited towards next summer or another one of our programs and the rest of the tuition will be refunded.

The information we are receiving is constantly evolving. We will keep you updated on any changes as we navigate through this unprecedented moment in our history.

Take Care and Be Safe,

The Camp Evergreen Team
